Look downstream from the Bridge of Marnoch. In a tree on the right bank, there's a webcam that takes a photo once a minute to show the weather and how much water is in the river.. you can see the photos at Webcam
If you have a mobile internet gadget with you, then you can watch yourself waving to yourself on the internet.
Either scramble down the side of the bridge to the river bank, or make a wee detour around the Marnoch Lodge garden.
A couple of miles downstream on the right bank, you have to cross the burn of Forgue where it joins the Deveron. It's not difficult to cross but if there's a lot of water you can walk up the burnside quarter of a mile to the road bridge at Inverkeithny.

There used to be a ferry here!
